हमारे बारे में
Why should a bright child stop studying because her family cannot afford a uniform?
01कहानी / Our story
What began as a handful of volunteers teaching in a courtyard is now a registered trust working across the villages around Katan Bazar.
Maa Dulari Devi Sewa Sansthan was established in 2015 at डी.टी. खालसा, कतन बाज़ार, आज़मगढ़, उत्तर प्रदेश, by a small group of local young people who kept meeting the same children — capable, eager, and quietly dropping out of school.
They began with coaching. Then came the realisation that a child cannot study through an untreated illness, or in a winter without a blanket, or when an elder brother has migrated for daily-wage work and the family income has gone with him. So the work widened: health camps, skill training, relief drives, and programmes for women and children.
We remain deliberately local. The people who run our programmes are the people who live here — which is why help reaches quickly, and reaches the right family.
Our name honours Maa Dulari Devi, and our promise is the line our volunteers repeat at every programme: “सेवा ही हमारा संकल्प” — service is our resolve.
02संकल्प / What we stand for
हमारा उद्देश्य
To ensure every needy child’s qualitative education and other basic requirements — and to support the family around that child with health, skills and timely relief.
हमारा सपना
A rural society where no child’s future is decided by their family’s income, and where young people can build a dignified livelihood without leaving home.
शिक्षा · सेवा · संस्कार
Shiksha, Sewa and Sanskar — education, service and values, delivered honestly, locally, and with respect for the dignity of every family we work with.
03यात्रा / How we have grown
Registered as a trust on 12 May 2015 under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882 (Reg. No. 231/2015), with its headquarters at D.T. Khalsa, Katan Bazar, Azamgarh.
Volunteers start free coaching in courtyards and under trees, providing books, copies and uniforms to the children who need them most.
Free check-up camps, medicines and winter blanket distribution extend the work from the classroom to the whole family.
Skill-development sessions help young people earn with dignity close to home, instead of migrating for uncertain work.
Students, teachers and working professionals from the area now run our programmes alongside the founding team.
